Detailed Description

Requirements decomposition is a cornerstone of regulated product development. It is mandated by standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE, but beyond compliance, it directly improves product safety, consistency, and maintainability. Manual decomposition is time-consuming and error-prone. Industry studies show that up to 40 % of engineering rework and 30 % of safety-related defects originate from incomplete or inconsistent requirement hierarchies. Done right, decomposition reduces change cost by up to 60 % and shortens verification cycles by up to 35 %.

Generic AI models cannot achieve this. Large language models lack the domain grounding and traceability logic needed for regulated development. Raiqon AI is purpose-built for this task: trained on certified engineering data, structured according to regulatory frameworks, and seamlessly integrated into existing requirement trackers. It automates decomposition while enforcing reuse and compliance, deeply integrated into Codebeamer and other ALM tools. OEMs and Tier 1 automotive suppliers already use this feature to accelerate compliance with functional safety standards. This ensures consistent requirement reuse across programs, and reduces engineering overhead. While being scalable to 10,000s of requirements, the Raiqon Platform can be fully deployed to the clients’ secure IT-infrastructure.

What You Will See

In the webinar, participants will see the Raiqon Requirements Decomposition feature in action. The demo begins with a set of high-level customer requirements. The system performs atomic statement extraction, producing clear, non-overlapping requirement statements. These are semantically clustered by functionality, and Raiqon searches existing repositories to reuse validated system requirements wherever possible. For remaining gaps, it applies context-aware AI generation, combining regulatory input (e.g., UNECE), engineering best practices, and prior project data to create new, compliant system requirements. The output is a structured, traceable requirement hierarchy. In addition, the system extracts and structures relevant parameters.

The results speak for themselves: Customers reduce decomposition effort by up to 80 %, increase requirement reuse by over 60 %, and review times drop by half, all while maintaining full compliance traceability. The outcome is faster, safer, and more consistent product development across teams and projects.
